Fidelity Investments
As a long-time supporter of BELL, Fidelity Investments has
helped the organization to expand both the after school and
summer programs in Boston. In 2007, Fidelity demonstrated their
commitment to BELL's mission and vision by launching two efforts:
(1) An annual fundraiser in partnership with the New England Patriots
entitled the BELL Bowl: Flag Football Challenge; (2) The six-week
"Stock Market Made Easy Program" where Fidelity volunteers give
BELL Summer scholars a firsthand introduction to the basics of
investments.
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt is BELL's primary curricula partner. In addition
to providing high-quality, skills-based literacy and math curricula for BELL
After School and BELL Summer, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt provides access to Edusoft,
a powerful and innovative assessment tool that BELL uses to monitor scholars'
academic progress.
The National Summer Learning Association
The National Summer Learning Association and BELL work together to improve and expand summer learning opportunities for children. BELL regularly contributes to the Association's national conferences and advisory board meetings, and the National Summer Learning Association helps BELL develop partnerships with schools and districts to expand access to the BELL Summer program.
New England Patriots
BELL and the New England Patriots teamed together to create an annual
fundraiser to support the BELL Summer program. In collaboration with
Fidelity Investments, the BELL Bowl: Flag Football Challenge gives corporate
teams the opportunity to play football at Gillette Stadium for the BELL Bowl
championship trophy. All funds raised from the event are directed toward
providing educational opportunities to more children in New England.
New Profit, Inc.
The venture philanthropy firm New Profit, Inc. (NPI) assists BELL
by providing capacity-building support and strategic advice through
The Monitor Group. Since NPI initially invested in BELL in 2001, BELL
expanded from educating 1,000 scholars to more than 8,000 scholars,
while creating a sustainable growth plan based on replicable program
models.
New York Life
BELL's newly-created partnership with New York Life enables
BELL to strengthen its ability to provide high-quality, year-round
educational opportunities to children in New York City. In addition to
implementing new, skills-based curricula and assessment materials in our
after school program, New York Life is supporting the expansion of the
BELL Summer program throughout New York City.
Sovereign Bank
Sovereign Bank provides BELL with financing, grants and sponsorships for
annual fundraising events. These investments have paved the way for the
expansion of BELL's educational programs and enabled BELL to educate
thousands of additional scholars.
Target
BELL and Target partnered together in 2007 to create the BELL Early Readers Program, a component of BELL Summer and BELL After School that supports K-3 literacy. In 2010, Target is supporting K-3 literacy nationwide, providing 6,000 young BELL scholars with high-quality literacy instruction built to develop their skills and confidence in reading.
Wilmer Hale LLP
Wilmer Hale LLP partners with BELL and provides support on a variety of
fronts including financial assistance, pro bono legal consulting, "access &
advocacy," and employee volunteer participation. Wilmer Hale LLC focuses on
innovation and entrepreneurial thinking to effect change in the practice of
law and the conduct of business and has had an enormous impact on BELL and its operation.
