Core Skills/                  The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for leading, designing, planning, directing,

Responsibilities           communicating, and evaluating all elements of the Human Resource function.  This individual will act as a business partner and advisor to senior and cross-functional management teams, and staff.

 

                                    Specific skills and responsibilities include:

 

        • Setting the strategic direction for Human Resources;

 

        • Designing, developing, and maintaining a talent and leadership development program;

 

        • Designing, developing, and maintaining a recruiting talent development pipeline;

 

        • Designing, developing, and implementing benefits, compensation, and performance evaluation programs and policies for base and incentive compensation;

 

        • Overseeing the development and administration of an Applicant Tracking System.  Evaluate current HRIS system to ensure data, maintenance and retrieval will support BELL’s recruiting programs;

 

        • Providing guidance and direction to HR staff; establishing expectations and defining roles across the BELL system to enhance the department’s performance;

 

        • Developing and implementing programs to promote employee accountability, recognition, and reward.

 

Year One Critical         Develop a sustainable talent recruitment pipeline that supports BELL’s aggressive plans for growth.

Success Factors                      

Develop a system for talent retention that incorporates succession planning and leadership development.

 

Experience                  Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of progressive responsible HR and or business experience, with a minimum of 5 years in management/leadership roles in HR.  Must have competence in all HR functional areas.  A Bachelor’s degree required, and a Master’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.  Demonstrated people management and leadership skills are required.  High level of project management skills and excellent consultation and influencing skills are essential.  Not for profit experience would be ideal, but not a requirement.   Prefer an individual who has worked in a diverse culture and/or has demonstrated experience in advancing diversity initiatives.

Travel                          Able to travel 25% to 35% per year to all BELL locations.  Can extend work hours beyond 40 hours per week as required by business necessities.
