Position Overview: 

Responsibility for the recruitment process in the region including sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and evaluating candidates based upon set qualifications. Coordinating recruitment advertising and web-based job placements. Make hiring decisions, extend and close offers, and ensure completion of all employment paperwork, including background check forms. Work closely with Human Resources in completion of paperwork to ensure staff are hired into HRIS. Coordinate staff on-boarding with Training Department and Site Managers.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Source, recruit, interview, and evaluate candidates.

·         Review and respond to applicant’s inquiries on a daily basis.

·         Coordinate recruitment advertising and web-based placements for open positions.

·         Plan, design and coordinate large scale recruitment events (career days, job fairs, etc.)

·         Evaluate candidates, check references as needed, make hiring decisions, extend and close offers in a timely matter.

·         Ensure that all necessary employment paperwork is completed accurately and prior to staff start date.

·         Guarantee that all employees successfully complete the criminal background, fingerprinting, TB testing and medical clearance process defined by the local school district. Keep copies of the clearances on file for examination by local compliance officers.

·         Consistently maintain hiring data in organization’s candidate tracking database.

·         Create and maintain a strong relationship with Site Managers to facilitate year-round communication about staffing needs.

·         Support the Executive Director with site-based recruiting needs and special projects as requested.

·         Build strong local sourcing network to ensure year-round flow of incoming applications.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.

  

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s Degree required.  A minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment.  Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills required.  Must be able to multi-task effectively and work well in a fast paced environment with multiple changing priorities/deadlines.  Human Resources experience and knowledge of Federal Work Study program is preferred.

 

Must be proficient in Word and Excel.  Must be able to quickly learn and use new technology. Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.  Must be able to work accurately with details.  Strong written communication skills are essential.  Attendance is required at job fairs, open houses, and weekend orientation training sessions. Ability to take direction and work independently is a must.  Overnight travel, when needed.
