BELL JOB ANNOUNCEMENT:  TRAINING COORDINATOR

Title:                Training Coordinator

Position Overview:

As a member of the Training team, the Training Coordinator works closely with the Director of Training and the Training Department to support BELL Training events nationally. Responsibilities include event logistics, training paperwork, and ensuring the supply of necessary materials.

 

Responsibilities:

National Training Teamwork, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Participating in weekly team meetings
  • Create and manage Training project plans
  • Collaborate with teammates to successfully reach the goals of the Training Department

 

Training Department Logistics, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Training Department Logistics, Secure venues for training, and make arrangements for entry, security, and storage of materials on location
  • Organize, and plan for meals, ensure appropriate amounts of food, and space for food setup
  • Communicate with the Recruiting Department to identify the number of participants scheduled

 

Training Event Support, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Setup, and cleanup of training sessions, including classrooms, meal areas, and welcome area
  • Assist facilitators as needed
  • Monitor participants during training, including directing participants to classrooms
  • Transport materials to training sessions and back to the office afterwards

 

Training Paperwork, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Collect, and enter attendance into database, collect, and submit timesheets to Payroll Department
  • Distribute, collect, and process evaluations
  • Create flyers, memos, and charts as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

Applicants should have a love for children and a commitment to BELL’s mission and educational approach (see www.bellnational.org). A Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience with event planning is required. Excellent organizational and communication skills are a must, along with a positive attitude, sense of humor, and ability to work on a team, as well as independently. Applicants should be familiar with office technology and software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email. Should be flexible, reliable and willing to work weekends (about 15 weekends per year). Must be able to lift 50-pound boxes and willing to do whatever necessary to get the job done well. Must be able to learn quickly and work in a fast paced environment. Experience working with elementary school children is a plus. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
