City-based magazine that focuses on
African-American professionals and small business owners, has
completed selections for its year 2006 top achievers
who will be honored at the Ninth Annual “40-Under-Forty” Achievement
Awards Ceremony. Among the honorees is Earl Martin Phalen, Co-Founder & CEO, BELL (Building Educated
Leaders For Life) in Dorchester, MA. This
event will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2006, at Columbia
University in the Alfred Lerner Hall located at 2920
Broadway (at 116th Street) in New York City from 7:00 p.m.-10:00

The Network Journal’s annual “40-Under-Forty” awards celebration was
launched in 1998 as a hallmark program to recognize the best and brightest young Black achievers. The honorees
represent a diverse workforce, from business owners to corporate executives, spanning industries from media,
entertainment and fashion to medicine, science and financial services. Honorees are chosen based on a palpable display
of excellence in business, passion for achieving higher goals and commitment to the community and are profiled in the
current (June) issue of TNJ. TNJ’s 40-Under-FortyAwards program annually attracts a "Who's Who" among New York tri-state area's business executives and entrepreneurs.
